The North Face blev grundlagt i 1966 af to vandreentusiaster. The North Face er et amerikansk brand, som laver tøj til en udendørs livsstil, sko og udstyr som blandt andet tasker og hatte. Brandets mantra, Never Stop Exploring, er blevet populært blandt ekstremudøvere.
